Help with Harefoot, the structured-training app for Apple Watch and iPhone.

Contact

Email support@harefoot.app with your iPhone and Apple Watch models, their iOS and watchOS versions, and what happened. A screenshot helps.

Testing the beta? Send feedback from the TestFlight app, or take a screenshot in Harefoot and share it with TestFlight.

Getting started

  1. Install Harefoot on your iPhone. The watch app comes with it; if it doesn't appear on your watch, install it from the Watch app on your iPhone.
  2. Open Harefoot on the iPhone. It shows what it does, sets up the watch and Apple Health, offers intervals.icu (optional), then your free month: tap Start Free Month.
  3. On the watch, open Harefoot and tap Outdoor Run. GPS and heart rate warm up, then you start.
  4. If you use intervals.icu, sign in during setup or later: Today → Settings (the gear) → Sign in with intervals.icu. Your planned workouts then appear on Today and on the watch, and your runs upload with their laps.
  5. Build workouts in Workouts and a training plan with Build a Plan; plan a race in Races.

Questions

How much does Harefoot cost?

Your first month is free. Then Harefoot is a subscription, billed by Apple:

Other countries see their local price before buying. The terms of use have the details.

How do I cancel, or get a refund?

Cancel in Harefoot: Settings → Subscription → Manage Subscription, or on your iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the free month or the current period ends to avoid the next charge; you keep Harefoot until then. For a refund: Settings → Subscription → Request a Refund in Harefoot, or reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple handles payments and refunds.

I already subscribed, on another iPhone or before reinstalling

Tap Restore Purchases on the subscription screen or in Settings → Subscription, signed in with the same Apple Account. Beta testers with a code: Redeem Code, in the same places.

The watch says "Subscribe on your iPhone"

The watch follows your iPhone's subscription. Open Harefoot on the iPhone to start your free month or subscribe; then open Harefoot on the watch again. Your runs stay readable either way, and a run that has started always finishes and is saved.

My planned workouts don't appear on the watch

Sign in with intervals.icu on the iPhone, and keep the calendar permission ticked. Then open Harefoot on the iPhone once: it sends your next workouts to the watch. A workout you build in Workouts reaches the watch when you tap Schedule.

A run didn't upload

Open it in Runs on the iPhone. Its sync section says what happened, and Upload Now (or Upload Again) tries again. Uploads need the iPhone to be online; until then the run waits on the iPhone.

Strava says connections are full

Strava lets a new app connect a limited number of athletes until it approves more, so Strava is in early access in Harefoot. Meanwhile, connect intervals.icu to send your runs there with every lap; they also still go to Apple Health.

Why does my distance differ from another app's?

Harefoot works out each run's distance from the watch's GPS itself, so it can differ from what another app records for the same run. If a run's distance looks wrong, write to us with where you ran and what you expected.

How do I disconnect or delete my data?

See Disconnecting in the privacy policy. Harefoot has no account with us, so there is nothing to delete on our side. Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription: cancel it as above.

What do I need?

An Apple Watch with watchOS 11 or later, paired with an iPhone with iOS 18 or later. intervals.icu and Strava accounts are optional; without them, runs are saved to Apple Health.
